Abonano’s expertise in photocatalytic materials and coating methods is based on the many years of research experience in the network of the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University, and from the highly educated team. The company is in close collaboration with universities and research centers. Abonano’s know-how in materials research and development includes a wide variety of materials: conventional ceramics and glasses, sol-gel ceramics, polymers and composites, coating techniques and physical and chemical characterization methods of different surfaces. Abonano is able to make use of sophisticated surface characterization techniques, including XRD, XPS, FTIR, HR-SEM, contact angle and photoactivity measurements.
